A note from Jen (youngest daughter)

Ok. I am going to post to this blog once and only once. How can I contribute to the perfection that my brother has created? 

First, I want to thank the family. Uncle Dick, ur words have been so meaningful to me. I am so thankful that I have grown up enuf to realize how important u and Aunt Susan are in not just my parents lives but in mine as well. My mother cherishes you.  To my cousins- Lisa, Sarah and Brenda who have all sent awesome wishes... Luv u ladies and thanks.

To all my fb friends who r following this blog - thank u for taking time out of ur day to share in our struggle. My mom would be thrilled to know she is such an internet sensation ;).

And to my mommy - who may or may not ever read this....  I have never known a woman as strong as you. I have never met a soul as forgiving, compassionate, and inspirational as you. When I was a child, I laughed at your "Jesus shoes" I now realize I can only dream of walking behind in those footsteps.  When I think of u I think that u have actually had many different journeys in ur life. I am so grateful that I was included in just one of them.  

Ugh reading back on this is depressing. Didn't mean it to be!  Rick, u r better at this than I am, thus my solemn vow to never post again ;). Luv u all and "suck it Uncle Alan"!!
