Doors with flashy lights

Mom's good friend Caroline is helping her to adjust her diet to the new medicines. Each new drug comes with a 2-sided instruction sheet explaining what you can and cannot eat with the drug. Furthermore, some of the drugs conflict with each other. I explained it's just the lawyers covering their butts. She laughed.

Caroline is really smart. She's into whole foods and using natural ways to supplement the body's natural defenses. Mom really appreciates her companionship and knowledge. Caroline said "They're doors with flashy lights. Surrender to it"

We think that's good advice for a person that naturally looks to understand and educate herself on everything that has ever gone into her body. (See! That HAS to be a run-on sentence) I suck at grammar.
