Conversation with the chaplain

Steve, the Chaplain, stopped by to talk with Mom. He's wearing a creamy yellow shirt with a patriotic blue tie. He said he could come back so Mom could eat her salad but she said "No way! Let's chat." So they are.

Right now they're discussing larger patterns, being raised catholic, following the lord and something about entering darkness to find the light. Personally, I've never been good at that. I always wind up hitting my head and finding the wrong light. But this blog isn't really about me...

Mom had another X-ray last night. The doctors wanted to take another look at her lungs to re-assess the progression of the cancer. She'll be having her lungs drained or maybe already has. She hasn't coughed in the last 45 minutes. She looks very good, strong spirit and attitude. She's been talking now for over 30 minutes, which is great.

The peaks and valleys of this 'adventure' can be tough on everyone. Dad is sitting on the couch listening to their conversation. He looks like he's lost some weight.

Dad's wondering if I took keyboarding in school because I'm using all my fingers. Hilarious. No, I never did.
