Her first TV show of the trip

Mom's watching So You Think You Can Dance but the TV is placed high near the ceiling and difficult for her to view comfortably. She went 9 hours without pain medicine but began to have some back pain and some difficulty breathing so she asked for some. We encouraged her and helped her to think of the pain medicine as something she didn't need to try to stay off of. It helps her to relax and lowers her BP. She hasn't had any antibiotics in 25 years. Amazing. Her body is very sensitive to the medicine but she continues to confront each 'speed bump' with humor and grace. "This too shall pass," mom whispers.
