Mom's MRI results are in. She learned of them from Dr. Grainger's "terrific" intern (who's name is escaping me). There isn't a single 1CM lesion in the brain, but there are a few 1MM lesion's. "Some at the base and some at the top," says Mom over the phone. She sounds winded but positive and in good spirit, considering the news. Her favorite radiologist, Dr. Seavolt "the spot welder" will be in sometime today to talk about treatment options with Mom and Dad.
Although the news isn't great, it could certainly be worse. That's mom's perspective. She's ready to do whatever she needs to so she can be better. She's determined and willing, which is important.
Dad answered the phone when I called. He began to tell me the news and developments -- how they slept, nurse gave him a free newspaper, he couldn't find coffee, another nurse was in the hall playing the piano (which was awesome and putting dad to sleep) -- while Mom corrected him in the background. She later said, "It's easier if I talk to you so he doesn't put things in his own words." I understand Mom's point, but Dad's doing a great job being by her side and taking care of everything. I appreciate him and I let him know that. We joked about Mom's "barking order again!"
