Can I get a wahoo?!!

I went with Mom to her Doctor's appt. with Dr. Grainger, the best darn oncologist in the land, yesterday. The appointment lasted about 30 minutes or so, with Mom asking many questions and telling the doc how well she's done with her physical therapy. She even talked about her art show this spring.

"Let me know when and where," said Dr. Grainger. "I'd like to see it," he added with a smile. Mom talked in the car on the ride home about how much she enjoys Dr. Grainger and how well he makes her feel.

About midway through the appt, Dr. Grainger looked down at his notes, thumbing through page after page of Mom's chart, looked up and said "Sorry, but I'm going to break one of our rules. We don't normally talk numbers, but your cancer markers look very good. They are down from last time."

What excellent news. Smiling, Mom reached out and lightly touched his hand. "That is excellent news. Thank you for telling me," she said. In all, Dr. Grainger is very pleased with Mom's progress. He wished us a Happy Thanksgiving and said he'd see Mom next month.

So Mom fans, there you have it. Mom's in great spirits again and ready to plow forward.

So good to read that you are quilting and having good reports from the doctor. Regaining your strength is a very good thing. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your entire family.
