Pan-seared Salmon

Yesterday was super. Mom slept in the morning and dozed in the early afternoon. Mary from RCIA brought communion. It was her first time and she was "awesome." I sound like a broken record, but Mom sure does love the wonderful attention she receives from all the loving folks at St. Paul's Church in Westerville.

Pan-seared salmon with tuscany potatoes, fresh green beans and boston cream pie was the lunch menu. Upon hearing that, I quickly had the urge to eat! Mom must have really enjoyed the meal. She doesn't usually lead her conversation with the lunch menu. Normally, she rambles on about the day's visitors and what's new in her nurses and aides lives.

More notes from the day:
• Mom misses the gang at Riverside radiology and hopes they are keeping up on her progress through the blog
• The room at the house is finally ready. It's painted and ready for the equipment (bed, oxygen machine) to be positioned. The new HDTV is hung on the wall (thank's Alan!) and the cable man has done his thing. Now all we need is Mom!
• It looks like the nursing home will be keeping Mom through the evening tomorrow, not wanting to release her until she has her cumadin results back. Cumadin is used to battle blood clots -- it thins your blood. My guess is Mom will be home sometime after dinner, probably 7:00pm or so.
