Post-hospital care

A person from social services stopped by this morning to speak with Mom and Dad about post-hospital care. She explained options but was continually interrupted by doctors and nurses. Dad asked her to return.

It looks like Mom will be headed to a skilled nursing home until she feels well enough to do some things for herself. She realizes dad isn't a nurse and can't give her the care she needs. Dad was out shopping at Whole Foods for fresh produce during this time so he didn't hear it. You all get to hear this news before he does! Isn't the internet great! Dad will probably be checking into skilled nursing facilities very soon. Hopefully they can get into one that is very close to the house so dad doesn't have to put so many miles on the new Lexus!

The hospital is going to begin cooking custom meals for mom. The supervisor she met with is a chef and personally volunteered to cook her meals. I'd list her name but I've forgotten it! Yikes! Don't tell mom!
