Friday & Saturday visitation

Mom is aware the weather will be bad today and tomorrow. She wanted me to tell everyone not to come see her until the weather is better. She still wants communion but wants to take the next 48 hours to rest. "I get tired doing all the talking," Mom says. She doesn't realize that others would gladly talk, but Mom's got so much to say! I tell her that and she laughs. "Yes I do," she admits with a nod of her head.

Mom conversation tips:
Normally I wouldn't dare offer conversation tips -- I'm not the talkative one of the bunch -- but I think it may help some as they visit with Mom.

If you do plan on visiting with Mom, please keep your visit to 20 minutes or less. Don't be offended if Mom dozes-off either. She's under more medication and falls asleep in small spurts. Try to carry the conversation with light subjects -- nothing to deep. She may ask you to leave as you''re in mid-sentence. Don't worry, she does that to all of us!

Mom's eating small pieces of chocolate again. "This is me living!" she blurts proudly.
