Christmas!

Despite not being able to see many of her immediate family, Mom reportedly had a nice Christmas day yesterday. My family and Jen's family both have the crud. So does Dad. We spent much of Christmas day together coughing, wheezing and sneezing (and Andrea itching from hives of all things!) and made several phone calls to Mom's room.

As you have read, Mom's brother Bruce is in town visiting for Christmas. He spent a good three hours with Mom and her cousins Penny and Patty from Cleveand. The four reminisced about their childhood together. Mom was very happy to see and talk  with them in person. Dad was home napping while they were talking, trying to beat his cold, per Mom's orders. Dad was at our house bright and early to take part in the gift opening. He missed the excitement of the kids as they opened their gifts. We had a big breakfast and really enjoyed the morning.

Mom will likely be moved into the Delaware Willowbrook in the coming days (maybe Monday). More on that later. For now, she can be reached via telephone, room 130.

As always, thank you for your well wishes and prayer!
