Wednesday
Saw Dr. Domingues, wonderful homeopath at 11:00. Spent 2 hours there. We discussed diet among other things. She is working closely with Dr. Aukermann at OSU and he is big proponent of Omega 6, rather than Omega 3. Poultry is fed corn which converts in the animals to Omega 3, so he strongly discourages eating poultry and proposes instead lamb and grass fed beef.
(OK - Rick here. Sorry for the interruption. I have no idea what Mom is talking about with all these Omegas. I think she may have taken one too many pills today! (joking of course))
I've decided to eat what feels right to me, what I can tolerate and add more raw foods and fresh juices into the mix. As for Omega 3 or 6, there are strong advocates of each so I will let inspiration lead me.
Left appointment about 1:15 and at 1:20 while stopped at a red light, when we were hit from behind by a young mom disciplining her toddler son in the back seat. No one was hurt but her hood was crumpled and our bumper dented. I was grateful for the used Lexus SUV we got in trade for our much older Odyssey. Kept thinking about the oxygen tank in back seat.
My lesson is to trust. Same lesson as always. Was much easier when I could do nothing and HAD to trust. Now, I'm feeling better and trusting others is the opportunity. Today trusting my husband and Look! we were hit from behind....blind trust...and we were okay.
Got home and Dru came with her beautiful gift of reflexology and immediately, Beth arrived for physical therapy. Then Julie made us steak and asparagus and bread for dinner. A wonderful day.
(sorry... me again. For the record, Julie never called me for the steak dinner. I think she likes mom more.)
Slept late, had occupational therapy before breakfast. Julie, Aaron and Emily came for Scrabble. After they left Jim and I cleaned the frig. I sat at the counter and directed. Wow! Some really old stuff in there. Lisa, the nurse, came and checked blood pressure. It was 170/90. She checked it a bit later and it was 140/80. She told Jim, "No more Scrabble followed by refrigerator cleaning." Who'd think cleaning the frig was stressful?

Hi MaryAnn,
It's Debbie, Bruce's girlfriend, again. You are such a great, productive person! Wow! (Commenting in regard to your quilting). I have to tell you that for quite a while during the summer I was watching a show on the Christian Television Network with Dr. Richard Becker. He talked & still talks a lot about those Omegas doing a lot of good for your bod. At Wal-Mart I found a supplement with all 3 Omegas you need, all in one easy to swallow pill, and not too expensive! You might want to get some. Dr. Becker is a cancer survivor and he is spreading the word about what vitamins, minerals, and herbs to take to combat cancer and many other human ailments. He is one of my heros. He's on Channel 10 here in TN, on Charter Cable.
You're in our thoughts and prayers!
With love,
From,
Debbie & Bruce
