A question for discussion

"I wondered, Do I write my life in pencil?  Or do I write it in ink?  What are the pluses and minuses?  What do other people do?  If one lives day by day, never clinging or resisting, is that not writing in pencil?"

I understand the "writing in pencil" by never clinging or resisting. That makes sense to me.

I would suggest ink because of the connections that we make. They may be hidden or dormant for a period of time; but they tend to be "unerasable". Can't connections reappear at any time?

On the other hand, aren't some other things in pencil because we do make mistakes, and have the opportunity to erase those while learning from them?
