A Dadism

Mom wanted me to post a Dadism. Let me set the scene...

Mom's working with her home aide, Jackie this afternoon. Jackie is going to be graduating any day. Dad was asking her about job plans. She's trying to transition between jobs. 

So Dad said, "That's good. You don't want to burn your bridges until you finish your fort on the other side." 

They all laughed.
