Romi rocks

The kids and I are visiting with Mom. Finally, we've all got a clean bill of health and don't have to worry about spreading any unwanted illnesses -- are there any other kind? Jen and Romi are here, eating lunch. Romi is working on a chicken nugget and refusing to eat mandarin oranges. Sydney and Emma are assembling Rom's happy meal puzzle.

Romi stands by herself now. But, she'll only do it if people cheer for her. Needless to say, there's been lots of cheering this early afternoon.

Mom's getting a shower. The door is cracked and we can hear her talking with Dad as he assists. I can't think it is an easy task for either of them and wonder where the aide is who's supposed to be helping with the showers. I'll inquire, since I think an aide would be great for Dad.

Jen is going to help Mom with styling her hair. I volunteer but everyone laughs as they look at my bald head. "No thanks!" Mom says as she motions Jen into the room.

The girls and I packed a picnic lunch. We thought it would be a great idea to spread a blanket in the shade and eat lunch together. Problem is, it's like a "gazillion degrees outside," shouts Emma. I think we'll be dining on Mom and Dad's floor like Romi.
