Noah, YE Yang and Shopping

Coleen, Mary and Mom talked a lot about forgiveness and love; what they're doing now and their children and we all agreed "we wouldn't fit in teaching now. That our styles of teaching wouldn't fit what is wanted today," Mom said. They brought Mom a sandwich from Panera and a special Oregon recipe salad, from Mary's daughter. (Food seems to come up often in conversation with Mom and Dad. Nothing wrong with eating well, eh?!)

They also talked about Noah, Mom's 15 year-old grandson. "He's tall and strikingly handsome," was the conclusion from Coleen and Mary. (somewhere Noah's mom is teasing Noah and he's certainly blushing right now as he hears this.)

Dad's feeling much better. He had a long nap and is making Mom her dinner.

Mom's blood is thicker. They've adjusted her cumadin to account for it. Dad has a color-coded system for dispensing medication requiring the administrator to sign-off on giving pills. It's quite the system. Mom has a CT scan scheduled tomorrow to find out what the radiation and remedex have accomplished.

Mom felt well enough today she:
• put on makeup
• sat up for a long while in the chair
• moved some things around in the family room and
• bent over and did some simple exercises

Mom loved watching the golf yesterday. She admitted rooting for YE Yang but was sympathetic to Tiger's losing. "Did you see the interview with Tiger," she asks me. I nod my head. "It was sad. I felt for him. He's been through so much." She then rattles off many of Tiger's achievements and wonders if Tiger maybe took for granted how easily he won so early in his career.

Dad just brought dinner. Mary made it, Dad warmed it. Rigatoni, green peppers, meat, cheese & tomatoes. Dad can't find a greed salad.

Julie, Mom's daughter (the oldest) just arrived with Confessions of a Shopaholic. They are going to watch the movie tonight on Mom's new 32" Panasonic HDTV mounted on her wall.
