The nine year old loner

I was fortunate enough to get to spend some very good quality time with Mom tonight. She was in great spirits and felt strong enough to continue teaching my daughter Emma how to play euchre. We played a game with a ghost player named Bob Popper (Mom and Emma called him Pooper when he had a great hand) and had some fun laughs during the process. Mom and Emma prevailed, coming from behind from strong play from the new 9.9 year old, including a lay-down loner to close the gap. I didn't see it, but reportedly, there might have been some cards exchanged to help her hand. "Aunt Jenny would love that, Emma!" Mom exclaimed. "Jen is very.... creative ... with her hands," Mom said with a laugh.

We decided that with all the cards being played we should have a tally on the blog so readers could take part in all the fun. "We could keep track of everyone's win/loss record right on the blog!" Mom said with excitement.

Her spirits were high and her card playing was sharp as nails.

I better get a good night sleep for tomorrow and practice up on my card playing!
