Yellow it is!

Mom has been moved to room 7216 in building yellow. She's graduated from the step-down unit (intermediate care) and is getting to know her new nurse, who happens to be wearing a mask "because I have a cold and don't want to share."

She's lost her great view of the beautiful trees out the window, but her new room has a refrigerator, a couch (the overnighters will love this little development!) and a pretty picture of a flower (we'll try to get some photos of it on the site soon). Her oxygen is still hooked into some type of liquid that sounds like a fountain and is very soothing.

Mom's oncologist believes her trouble breathing is not from pneumonia, but is likely from "the disease." This made mom very low this morning but she seems to be in better spirits now. She's questioned whether taking the pain medicine was a good idea because she felt so well while on the Budwig diet, but I think she quickly realized it was necessary.

Dad and Jen are at Noah's baseball game and Mom is eagerly awaiting a report on how her grandson is doing. "I miss seeing the grandkids!" she adds.
