Mom's dinner just arrived. Pizza. Wow. She's nervous about how she'll digest the food. Dad's hovering. "Don't hover!" Mom blurts. Dad sits down. A moment later he confesses, "I wasn't hovering. I just wanted to see the pizza!" Dad's never met a pizza he didn't like.

Most Interesting Story -- Haile Salissie. In the 1960's, there was the king of Ethiopia... (oh boy, we're really getting into something here...) he was living high off the hog while millions had no food or water.

Best Singer, Livliest Songs -- Rebecca the tech on 7 North at Riverside. She had come in from a meeting and was singing the most wonderful joyest songs.

There at the right time -- Mitchell. Hands down winner. It was the legal holiday 4th of July. He new exactly what to say during a time of stress.

Gutsy nurse - Lisa. Night nurse that called the pulmonologist at home to obtain clarity for a critical decision.

Mom doesn't want to forget anyone." I don't want to single people out and forget others. There are so many. We'll need to do this again and again so I don't forget anyone," Mom says.

Q: Any messages for people that are thinking about you: Thank you. I'm thinking about all of you. We're at the stage of working hard with therapists and to eat my new diet. And just taking each moment as it comes.

Mom likes my shoes. She also comments about liking the fact she has a limited wardrobe. The fewer choices free her mind.
