Chef at Willowbrook wins Taste of Worthington

Mom's really happy to have made the decision to resume a more normal diet, especially when she was told the head chef is a mutli-time winner of the Taste of Worthington, a local competition for chefs at various restaurants. And we're talking all the big boys. Camerons, J Alexanders, Ruths Chris.

The first year he won in appetizers. "Something with artichokes, I think," Mom says. Year two was entree. "He won with a Korean beef BBQ." Year three was a dessert, this past Saturday night, with some concoction with an italian cheese that I can't pronounce and won't begin to spell, palmagranite brandy, on a brown-sugar merrang crust and (man, this is sounding really good, but there's no way my spell-check will work this fast while I type) fruit based something or other that sounded really good.

"The staff says he won the triple crown," Mom gloats.

She had a half of cheeseburger for dinner. "Not outstanding," Mom proclaims. "I still don't like beef much. I probably won't eat that again. I'll be more selective."

We don't know the chef's name, but his reputation has mom excited for each meal. And THAT is something we are all thankful for!
